Diduga, kebakaran terjadi karena obat nyamuk yang dinyalakan oleh anak pemilik rumah dengan kondisi ODGJ (orang dengan gangguan jiwa).
Wartono mengatakan, kedatangan dirinya beserta rombongan tersebut merupakan salah satu bentuk perhatian Pemko Banjarbaru kepada masyarakatnya yang sedang mengalami musibah.
“Alhamdulillah kami berkesempatan memberikan bantuan secara langsung ke korban. Bantuan yang diberikan memang tidak sebanding dengan apa yang telah terjadi, namun paling tidak bisa sedikit meringankan beban dari pihak keluarga,” ujarnya, Jumat (24/06/2022).
Disamping itu, Kepala Dinas Sosial Kota Banjarbaru Rokhyat Riyadi menyebutkan, pihaknya siap membantu penangan anak dari pemilik rumah yang mengalami ODGJ tersebut.
“Jika pihak keluarga berkenan, kami akan membawanya ke rumah sakit untuk dilakukan pengobatan supaya bisa menjalani kehidupan hari-harinya dengan normal,” ucapnya.
Masih kata Rokhyat, pihaknya juga siap mendampingi kapan saja jika ada masyarakat Kota Banjarbaru yang perlu dibantu dalam permasalahan sosial yang dialami khususnya ODGJ.
